I started making these because I heard from people that their children couldn't use the looped rubber bands at nursery school, causing trouble for the teachers. These are easy to use for small children who have small hands and lack strength, making it difficult to tie things, as well as for the elderly. In the summer, they are also easy to wrap around to secure ice packs in the bento box. The 2.5 cm wide rubber band features Alice and an ambulance. It can be used from about 28 cm when fastened snugly without stretching the rubber band. It can stretch about 10 cm, but small children may want to use it up to about 5 cm. The Velcro is about 3 cm. Please check around your bento box and choose a size that tightens slightly to prevent the lid from opening. Bento boxes come in various sizes, so please be sure to check before purchasing.
