This is a Sori Yanagi bird whistle that I purchased at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum a few years ago. I chose this one from among several, as it has a gentle expression. The feather pattern is also delicately crafted with light brushstrokes. One side is slightly faded due to the direction it was placed in.
