Thank you very much for viewing. This is a simulated sword for iaido practice. It is not a real sword. The sword stand is for photography purposes and is not included. This Musashi Koshirae, produced under the supervision of the 24th generation Fujiwara Kanefusa, who is certified as a Gifu Prefecture Important Intangible Cultural Property holder, was a limited edition of 950 sold by the Franklin Mint. The original price (set of large and small swords) was 300,000 yen, making it a very high-end iaido sword. This is an offering of the large sword only. This sword was brought to us the other day. The rust and plating were severe, so we performed maintenance such as removing the rust, polishing, and applying a thin plating, but plating marks remain on the blade, and some parts of the hamon (temper line) are missing, and some parts are discolored. Also, the metal fitting at the tip of the handle is slightly bent. Fortunately, the scabbard is clean with no noticeable scratches. The construction is solid, and there is no looseness in the tsuba (handguard), so it can be used without any problems for iaido practice or performances. Blade: Special alloy, old sword style for iaido, with hi (groove) Handle: Wooden, pure cotton black tsuka-ito (handle wrapping) over ray skin Menuki (handle ornament): Catfish Tsuba: Sea cucumber openwork iron tsuba Saya (scabbard): Pine bark lacquer, with kojiri (scabbard end fitting), pure cotton black sageo (cord) (new) Overall length: 104cm Blade length: 72cm (excluding habaki) Weight when drawn: 850g Handle length: 25cm Sori (curvature): 1.8cm ⚠️ There are no problems for iaido practice, but there are plating marks and discoloration on the blade. Please check the images. If you have any questions, please ask in the comments. ⭐️ We have other items for sale as well. Please take a look if you'd like. Also, please read the profile.
