The reason for choosing March 12th as Arbor Day is that it is the anniversary of Sun Yat-sen (Sun Zhongshan), the founder of the Republic of China, commemorating his historical achievements, and also due to the timing. This date falls after the Awakening of Insects and before the Spring Equinox, considered a suitable time for tree planting throughout China. Both the design and engraving of the stamp are very detailed, reflecting the importance placed on environmental protection at the time. The concept of greening and afforestation aligns with modern environmental awareness, re-emphasizing the importance of protecting the natural environment.
