High-quality maple, grown in cold, deep mountains, has become difficult to obtain in recent years due to the effects of global warming, making it "rare." DEEP MOUNTAIN is committed to high-quality maple and aims to be a skateboard brand that fascinates people. HAND IN JAPAN As an initiative to complete the final country of origin (final processing location) in Japan, we work with domestic craftsmen to procure materials, process, and assemble some items in Japan. The brand's image character is the "Miyama Stag Beetle." The Miyama Stag Beetle favors the sap of Itaya maple (maple) and other trees that grow at high altitudes. In recent years, their numbers have decreased due to the effects of global warming, making them rare, and their ecology is still not fully understood. Furthermore, the Mikura Miyama Stag Beetle is registered as a Near Threatened species by the country. With such rarity and mystery, the Miyama Stag Beetle, which fascinates everyone from children to adults and biologists, is used as the brand's image character.
