"The Science Deniers: Why They Deny Science and How to Talk to Them" by Lee McIntyre Translated by Yoshito Nishio With obi (book band) I read this book after being introduced to it during the COVID-19 pandemic, when I encountered an acquaintance who "denied science with emotions, unsubstantiated speculation, and rumors, and instead believed and spread only convenient information that they found convincing," and wouldn't listen no matter what I said. I was at a loss. Although there is some technical content, I couldn't help but think, "I see." I understand (even if I can't agree with) what science deniers think and why they deny science.
