Everything, from the kimono to the swelling of the face and fingers, the planting of the hair, the hairstyle, and the expression, is handmade. The kimono patterns are also original, hand-painted designs. At home, it was kept together with several other Japanese and French dolls in a large, custom-made wooden and glass case. It was never taken out of the case for many years, never displayed in a prominent place, and was stored in the case away from sunlight. Due to aging, there is considerable dirt and damage to the fabric, including the face, from dust that entered through the gaps in the case. The veranda is broken due to aging, so please repair it with glue or similar. The fan that it would have held in its right hand is missing. It is, in any case, old and faded.
