This men's shirt was created using a combination of antique Oshima Tsumugi haori (men's outerwear) with its basting threads still attached (see photo 9), which was unpicked and washed, and white Oshima Tsumugi. The white Oshima Tsumugi stands out against the brown Oshima, making for a striking piece. The fabric had many slubs, so I cut from areas with fewer, but I hope you appreciate the slubs as part of the character.
