(Items from about 30 years ago have been found during the cleanup, so this ink paste may be of a similar age.) I'm selling it because I have no use for it. ◆ It came in a dedicated cloth-covered box. The ink paste container had been covered with kitchen wrap (?), so it may not be unused. (See photo 4) ◆ The ink paste container is made of ceramic. I researched the contents written on the sticker attached to the underside of the lid, and it seems to say the following: (See photo 5) ・美丽 (Beautiful) … Refers to the color of the ink paste; "beautiful" here means a slightly dark, subdued red color. ・硃砂 (Cinnabar) … Cinnabar = cinnabar, a mineral composed of mercury sulfide. ・六十克装 (60g) … 60g ※ Capacity when unused ◆ There are stains inside the cloth-covered box, likely from ink paste transfer. (See photo 7) ◆ The lid of the cloth-covered box won't close when the ink paste container and instruction manual are placed inside. The red color (beautiful) of the ink paste seems to be suitable for calligraphy works. (It seems you can use any color you like, so it's not absolute) I'm not sure of the exact amount remaining, but I think there's more than half left.
