Shogi Pieces: Made by Yamagami While I occasionally see old, hand-carved pieces by the koma-shi (piece maker) Yamagami, this listing features new pieces. They are ichiji-bori (one-character carved) pieces, machine-carved in the workshop of Mr. Horikoshi, who carries on the name of Yamagami. The finishing is done by hand.
