It can be used as a cake plate, a side plate, or for rice and bread. The condition is excellent vintage, with no chips. There are few scratches or scuffs, and it's a clean plate. There is one small indentation, like a crater, near the center. It's somewhat noticeable due to the overall glossiness, but this is part of the original design, so please be aware.
