He began blowing glass in 1990 at [Kagami Crystal], a glass company known for its contributions to the Imperial Household. From 1996, he apprenticed for 9 years under [Waho Funaki], the son of Michitada Funaki, the 4th generation of the Funaki family, who had a deep connection with the Mingei movement in Shimane Prefecture and was a pioneer of Japanese glass artists. In 2005, he established his own studio in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where his master's studio was located, and became independent. As these items are handmade using traditional methods, there are individual differences in size, color, and appearance. They also have a slightly greenish, retro feel.
