These are "Brodden," ice spikes, or crampons, that Abu used to sell until the 1970s. "Brodden" is Swedish for "new shoots," so they seem to be ice crampons for use during the slippery season of early spring when the snow is melting. I don't think even Abu collectors collect these, but I, as a collector with a truly obsessive passion, had even these tucked away. The catalog image was taken from the 1976 Danish catalog, "Nap og Nyt 76." Years have passed, so there may be some rust and cloudiness due to the color variations, but I believe they are unused. The main body is just a rubber strap with metal attached, so they can still be used as simple crampons, or they can be added to your collection.
