The understated frills on the edge add an elegant cuteness. Also, the opening and closing mechanism is designed to be gentle on the fingers. Although it's for both sun and rain, it didn't seem to function very well as a parasol. There are some scratches and dullness on the handle, the tip of the umbrella, and the wpc mark, but there doesn't seem to be any noticeable damage to the umbrella fabric itself.
