Takaoka lacquerware suzuribako (writing box) With box A writing box with red lacquer and chrysanthemum carvings, the inside is black. ◎Suzuribako size: Approximately 24.5cm long x 13.8cm wide x 3.7cm high (With the lid closed) ◎Suzuri (inkstone) size: Approximately 12.2cm long x 6.4cm wide x 1.5cm high ◎Mizusashi (water dropper) tray (diameter): Approximately 3.5cm The inkstone has stains and shows signs of use. The water dropper also has water stains. The inner plate has cracks (see photo 9). If you remove the inkstone and inner plate, you can also use it as a small item case. This is a gorgeous box with a large chrysanthemum carving in red. The colors may look different in the photos. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions.
