This is an old neriko (kneaded incense) container from Kyukyodo, a long-established incense shop in Kyoto. Originally, it had a lid. Searching will bring up newer types. I don't think this old type is often seen. It's perfect as a guinomi (sake cup). It has crackle stains, scratches, and dirt commensurate with its age. Diameter: Approximately 5cm Height: Approximately 4.6cm The rim is unglazed. Sizes are approximate. As it is old, there are scratches, stains, and dirt appropriate for its age. The actual item may differ slightly in color from the images.
