Regarding the condition of this item, I purchased it in September 2024 from an auction site, having been serviced. I haven't noticed any significant dust or debris inside the lens. There is no haze or balsam separation. The focus knob is also smooth. I took some photos with my M10, and the results were, as expected, excellent. There are two scratches on the hood. Please refer to the images. There may be other minor scratches, but I don't think there's anything else noteworthy, in my subjective opinion. Includes the original filter, original lens cap, and an aftermarket mount cap. This is a previous generation lens. Despite being an aspherical lens, it produces a soft image without harsh edges. It's an all-around performer that doesn't discriminate against subjects, and it excels in portrait photography. It is particularly well-regarded for its rendering of skin tones, which may be the reason for its long-standing popularity. The focus is surprisingly easy to achieve even at maximum aperture, and the focus knob is very useful. Compared to the APO-Summicron, it offers outstanding cost performance. Tomio Seike, a photographer famous among Leica users, praised it as the best 50mm lens in Leica history, and one wonders how many people could actually tell the difference in an A3-size print... I highly recommend this lens as the first Leica lens to own. The silver chrome matches incredibly well with silver bodies, and its luxurious feel and presence will satisfy your desire to own it. Leica's catalogs also featured this combination. Of course, it also looks great with black bodies. Please, enjoy a wonderful shooting experience with this lens.
