These are items with a crisp, dark blue underglaze and gold overglaze. The center features a delicate gold-painted bird and flower design, with peacocks and peonies as the main motifs. Around them, auspicious floral arabesques (peonies, chrysanthemums, and camellias), which are traditional Japanese patterns, are incorporated in a twisted, Shonzui-style design. The gold and red overglaze colors beautifully complement the underglaze of gos (indigo), creating a wonderful piece. ^_^ The undulating, lobed rim also adds a dynamic visual appeal to the plates. *Please note that the colors may appear slightly different depending on the natural light or type of lighting. Size: Approximately 17 cm in diameter, approximately 2.8 cm in height. Suitable as individual plates or serving plates. They have a moderate depth, so they can also be used for dishes with sauce. They would also be great for appetizers or small dishes (hiramuko), such as lightly arranging sashimi. ^_^ These are items unearthed from my family's storehouse. I am selling an unused set of 6. They were stored in a tea box and are in unused, beautiful condition! There are no cracks, chips, or watermarks. These are items from the good old Showa era.
