It was originally a rug made by repurposing only the outer skin of a bag called a "barlisht," used for storing household items. The Baluch-style five-medallion design is powerful, and the luster unique to its color scheme is quite cool. As for the size, it's a good size for an accent rug, suitable for a玄関 mat or a small raised area. As a vintage rug, it's 45 years old, but since it was originally a bag, it doesn't show much wear and tear. It's in mint condition, with no noticeable stains or damage, and no repair marks. The pile itself is short and has a smooth feel, and it's a piece with a satisfying thickness, even though it's a barlisht.
