A rare Taisho-era set of a grape-colored haori and shawl. I inherited it from my grandmother, who ran a kimono shop. It's made of a high-quality crepe-like material. The materials of that time were different from modern ones, being pure crepe fabric without any mixed materials. When you hold the actual item, the texture is incredibly smooth, indescribable even. The shawl uses French lace from that era. Please take a look at the photos! It's the work of very delicate French artisans. The inner fabric is baby pink silk. There are some light stains as shown in the photos. They are not very noticeable. You rarely find a set of this quality for sale. Thank you.
