This is a black coat my mother had custom-made in the 1990s. It's tailored using plenty of cashmere with a Frisson finish from the Italian textile maker Loro Piana, designed to create a beautiful flare. The unique, rippling surface and luster of the Frisson finish are immediately distinguishable from other cashmeres. While my smartphone photos don't fully capture it, I hope you can get a sense of the texture by looking at the last photo. (It has been stored in a compression bag, so there are some slight wrinkles.) I've heard that similar Loro Piana fabrics currently cost over 250,000 yen per meter. This coat, including the tailoring, likely cost over 1 million yen. It has a buttonless, cape-like design, and of course, can be worn for formal occasions. It has been worn very few times, and is in very good condition with no moth holes or damage. It was tailored by a small maison, so there are no brand or quality label tags. The size would best fit someone around 150cm tall and who typically wears a ready-to-wear size M. For those of shorter stature, a high-quality coat that can be worn without alterations is rare. Even if the size doesn't fit, you could have it remade into a skirt or jacket, etc. I think it's a worthwhile price even considering just the cost of the fabric.
