The cover was removed and read, so it is clean. There is a small coffee stain on the upper part of "Niko Niko," but it is barely noticeable unless you look closely. Please check the images. There are no other noticeable scratches or stains, but please understand that this is a used item read by a child before purchasing. My 3-year-old son enjoyed it from when he was 3 months old until he was over 1 year old. I am selling it because he no longer reads it (^-^)
