This is a model from before the introduction of the new manufacturing machine. The inside of the cup has not been polished, and the grinding marks from manufacturing remain. The overall length is 77.20mm. MONETTE C15D is hand-hammered. The inner rim diameter is slightly smaller than a Bach 1. The rim is semi-flat with normal thickness. The outer rim edge is slightly rounded. Therefore, the outer rim diameter feels slightly smaller than a Bach 1. The inner rim edge is somewhat distinct. The inner rim edge has a scooped-out design, making it difficult for the lips to touch the inner cup wall, reducing fatigue. The shoulder before the throat is gentle and thick. The cup is slightly deeper than a Bach B. The cup is unpolished, retaining its pre-plating state. The short overall length balances the instrument, eliminating the need to adjust the blowing angle from high to low notes. The throat is approximately #19 (4.21mm). The backbore is similar to a Warburton 9. The shank end thickness is 0.8mm. It has a rich sound with a sense of envelopment. The breath intake is smooth, and the playing feel is free. It has a wide range of volume and a dense resonance. Recommended for solo players in combos as well as orchestras. There is a dent on the shank end. There are areas where the gold plating on the body is thin. There are scratches on the shank. There are no major scratches or dents that would interfere with playing. Please check the images.
