H&R Daniel, England Second Gadroon, Exotic Bird 1825-1840 Size: Cup - Diameter approx. 8.8cm, Height approx. 7cm Saucer - approx. 14.5cm The H&R Daniel kiln was short-lived, operating only from 1822 to 1845. Therefore, the number of works is small and not often seen in Japan, but the technical skill was high, and there are many gorgeous works, making it a popular kiln in England. This type is called Second Gadroon, with the edge decoration on the inside. The handle is a D-handle, and an exotic bird is drawn on the white panel. Condition: Fine crazing is seen in the glaze on both the inside and outside of the cup. (Observed from the time of purchase) Slight staining is seen on the bottom of the cup. Daniel cups with crazing, hairline cracks, or cracks seem to be traded for over 30,000 yen at antique shops.
