Thank you for viewing. This is a Namasu dish purchased from an antique shop. The inside depicts a scene from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the Red Cliff Ode by Su Shi, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty. No detailed explanation is needed. The body is decorated with a continuous arabesque pattern. It has a snake-eye foot and a mark. I was told it dates from the late Edo period. There is a chip on the rim and a crack extending from it.
