It is said that in the mid-Edo period, Zenshiro Ota of Kajimachi, Hanamaki City, learned the manufacturing methods of Fushimi dolls and Tsutsumi dolls from Kyoto and began making them. This is a "Riding the Waves Warrior" based on Taira no Atsumori, vividly depicting the brave Atsumori riding a horse.
