An antique trio from the 1870s to early 1890s by Wileman (later Shelley) of England, featuring a rare purple color in the Fern pattern and an Empire shape. This item is over 130 years old but is in excellent condition. The transparent white porcelain is adorned with a purple base, with delicate depictions of ferns, fans, and fleur-de-lis-like patterns on the interior. The Empire shape of the cup is beautiful, and the handle and gold trim are elegant. Purple trios are rare and hard to come by. This is a great opportunity! The item is in lustrous and beautiful condition. [Plate] There is some slight fading on the gold scalloped edge. The center shows minimal scuff marks and is in beautiful condition. [Saucer] The scuff marks from the cup in the center are very slight, only visible when tilted. The gold trim shows slight fading upon close inspection and is in beautiful condition. [Cup] There is slight fading on the scalloped edge, only visible when tilted slightly. The gold trim on the handle has some fading where the thumb rests, but about 80% remains. The interior is also lustrous and transparent. There are faint gray-black dots on the lower exterior, but they are light and inconspicuous due to their location.
