This guidebook is packed with travel information, from straightforward facts to trivia, covering the history, legends, and episodes of many cities, towns, and villages in Japan. Even old and unexpected information, such as the fact that the Masakado's Head Mound remains in the office district of Otemachi, Tokyo, due to a curse, is surprisingly fresh. The maps showing the Sony Building and Matsuzakaya department store still standing are also fun. Core Publishing no longer exists. As it is out of print, it is a valuable resource for Showa-era travel information. Although there is some age-related deterioration, there are no particular stains.
