I checked the rubber, and it hasn't stretched out. I think it has a good strength, not too strong, and easy to use. The buckle doesn't click into place. One side is cylindrical, and the other side is inserted from above, so it won't come undone unexpectedly. (Sorry if that's hard to understand...)
