In the 5th section, Asahi Kuroda achieved a stunning course record, leading to a come-from-behind victory. They didn't relinquish their lead in the return leg, securing their 3rd consecutive and 9th overall championship. This is a wooden plaque from Aoyama Gakuin University. Aogaku (Aoyama Gakuin) set a new outbound record of 5 hours, 18 minutes, and 8 seconds, a new return leg record of 5 hours, 19 minutes, and 26 seconds, and a new overall race record of 10 hours, 37 minutes, and 34 seconds, achieving otherworldly records.
