This is a Backun cocobolo barrel, the Lumiere model. It's 66mm long and a relatively new one, made in 2022. Backun products have markings like 11-223333. The 11 represents the length, 22 the year of manufacture, and 3333 the lot number. For example, 66-25214 means it's 66mm long, made in 2025, and has lot number 214. Older products might only have 5 digits like 05111, but the size is marked separately. The color is a beautiful, even chocolate brown, and it looks elegant even when attached to a grenadilla instrument. I believe it produces a simple, warm tone characteristic of cocobolo.
