This is an otaiko style obi. It looks black, but it's a deep navy blue. It consists of a pre-tied front section that wraps around the waist and a pre-tied otaiko style back piece. Like a yukata obi, the part that wraps around the waist has a string attached. There are no metal fittings. You simply place the back piece on your back, secure it with a temporary string, and then add the obiage and obijime to complete the look, ensuring the most attractive part of the pattern is displayed. This is a remake that incorporates a different fabric into the obi. Please understand that this is not the original pattern of the obi.
