In 1981, he studied under Tsuyoshi Yamachika and joined the Soso Bijutsu Kai (Creative Art Association). In 1986, he received the 39th Soso Bijutsu Exhibition Nouvelle Prize. In 1983, he was first selected for the 6th Traditional Kutani Ware Craft Exhibition, and he continued to be selected and receive awards thereafter. In 1989, he studied under Fujio Kitade, and in the same year, he was first selected for the 11th Japan New Crafts Exhibition and the 21st Nitten Exhibition. He has continued to be selected thereafter. He is a member of the Ishikawa branch of the Japan New Crafts Association.
