This is a hat pin/pin brooch made with domestically produced Akoya baby pearls, purchased by my grandmother about 10 years ago from a pearl shop in Ise-Shima, with a silver hallmark. It features incredibly rare sand keshi pearls, considered the smallest grade of Akoya pearls, less than 1mm in size, which are considered the pinnacle of craftsmanship. These pearls hang with a chain, and are difficult to find nowadays. This item has never been used and has been carefully stored at home. As it is a rare item, I would like someone who appreciates pearls to use it, so I have decided to put it up for sale. The sand keshi pearls, due to their size, require the skill of a craftsman just to thread the hole. They look like beads because they are so small, but they are pearls.
