This is a bentwood (mage-wappa) lunch box. It has a section for rice and a two-tiered structure, making it rarer than typical bentwood lunch boxes. There is a marking that appears to be from the 11th year of Meiji (1878). As it is an antique, it shows its age, but the shape is well-preserved and not fragile.
