I am currently sorting through inherited items. I'm selling a matcha tea bowl that belonged to my grandfather, who was a collector of antiques. It has a stunning, flowing glaze that looks like falling snow, and it's a very impressive piece. It's an antique, a piece of old art, a tea ceremony utensil, and a vintage ceramic tea bowl. It appears to be quite old. The name is carved on the bottom of the bowl. It was carefully stored in the back of a shelf in a room in the storehouse, so I believe it is a very good item. The bowl is made of a burnt reddish-brown clay, with a light gray glaze, and then a double layer of a pale yellowish-green matcha-colored glaze. Furthermore, a white, milky, snow-like glaze floats all over the surface, creating a scene reminiscent of the beginning of a snowfall. It's a wonderful piece with a great atmosphere. In the center of the bowl, there are very fine black, brown, and white granules, creating a rough texture, like looking down on a city from the sky as snow falls. It's a very lovely piece. The areas where the glaze has been repelled also have a very charming and beautiful atmosphere. Size: 14cm wide, 8cm high, making it a well-balanced piece. There is no box, but I will carefully pack and ship it. Shipping included. ◆About my grandfather's antique collection◆ My grandfather, who was an antique collector, collected antiques during his lifetime, and they have come out of the storehouse. I would like to sell the good items. My grandfather was a hospital director in his lifetime and owned many works, including paintings and ceramics by Living National Treasures, and he boasted about them, so I think they are all very good items. Neither my grandchild nor my mother are very interested in antiques, and we don't know which works are by whom or what kind of pottery they are. I don't know if the items I'm selling are Imari ware, Kutani ware, Shigaraki ware, or Seto ware. Even if they are a large number of antique art and wonderful works by Living National Treasures, or very expensive items, I don't know their value at all.
