This is a small tea bowl (kofuku) made of cinnabar by Michihiko Arai of Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture. This tea bowl is a stunning example of the unique pale purple color characteristic of cinnabar. Cinnabar really makes the tea look beautiful. - I intentionally included shadows in the photos so you can see the color. - Inner diameter is about 10 cm, height is about 7 cm.
