A set of 4 brand new, unused, and home-stored sometsuke (blue and white) plates (everything in the images). Since the printing method (inban) was used from the Meiji era onwards, I can't say for sure, but these were made before or during the Meiji era as high-quality, hand-painted items. The designs are hand-painted by artisans, and each one has subtle differences in the shades of cobalt blue and the brushstrokes. The red circled area in the second image has raised and uneven areas made by piling up the porcelain clay, indicating careful craftsmanship. Size: Diameter: Approximately 10.5cm Height: Approximately 3cm These are old items. Although they are new and unused, they have been stored for a considerable amount of time since they were made. Therefore, there may be storage-related stains, and due to less strict quality control compared to today, there may be warping, iron spots, imperfections in the glaze, and chips on the foot ring or rim (as seen in the 6th and 7th images).
