Made by F. LACLAIR J.F. Schmitt workshop in Lyon. The previous owner purchased it about 20 years ago from a major specialty store in Nagoya for ¥600,000. The head appears to have been repaired after that. While it seems there will be no problem with immediate use, considering the repair history, we are offering it at a low price relative to its material, construction, and performance, so please judge from the images and consider it as-is/without warranty. Although there are the aforementioned repair marks and signs of use commensurate with its age, the bow's playing performance is good, with a responsive, bright, and powerful tone.
