About the Dishes Themselves: • Celadon to bluish-white porcelain color • Wavy, square plates (corner-cut/rimmed flower style) • Plum blossom design (red painting) • Set of 5 small plates / side dishes These are typical high-class small plates for Japanese cuisine, used for soy sauce dishes for sashimi, appetizers, Japanese sweets, and hors d'oeuvres. More for restaurants, high-end Japanese restaurants, and gifts than for home use. Regarding the mark on the foot (back): "Kutani Kinzan" This is Kutani ware Among them, it's a work of the "Kinzan" kiln or with the Kinzan mark. About Kutani ware: • Traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture, around Kanazawa • Characterized by colored paintings (red, green, yellow, purple, navy) • Especially plum blossoms, pine trees, waves, and landscapes are standard designs. I took them out of the box for photography, but I believe everything is included. These also came from my parents' house, so I'll pass them on to someone who will use them. :)
