The process of creating the Lion Dance from styrofoam is also shown. I wanted one for personal use during events, but I couldn't find any, or if I did, they cost hundreds of thousands of yen, so I decided to make my own, haha. Instead of wood carving, it's based on styrofoam and paper clay, so it's very light and children can experience the Lion Dance. It's not a traditional, authentic Lion Dance, but I hope it can be enjoyed casually and add excitement to events. Please consider it as such. Creation Process: ① Cut styrofoam into the shape of a Lion Dance. ② Made the teeth from wood to make a clacking sound when biting. ③ Form the face with paper clay. ④ Apply paper in a papier-mâché style. ⑤ Paint. ⑥ Apply varnish. ⑦ Attach the wig: glued on. ⑧ Wear the arabesque furoshiki (175cm): attached with tape. ⑨ Wear the Nishijin-ori apron: attached with tape. This is made by an amateur, so there are rough parts in the details. There are places where packing tape is used, the paint isn't fully applied, and the dimensions may be slightly off. However, the overall presence is as shown in the photos, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about details. I'd like to use it for facility events. I'd like to use it for company events. I want to let the children experience it. I'd like to accommodate a variety of requests.
