Old iron tsuba (sword guard). This iron tsuba features a design of karajishi (Chinese lion) and peonies, along with butterflies. It is signed "Jōshū jūnin Kaneie" (Kaneie, resident of Jōshū). Although it has thickness, it is a tsuba with a wonderful shape that becomes thinner and more rounded towards the edge. It is in very good condition. 7.2 cm × 6.8 cm × 5.0 mm
