This is a lifesaver for solo bath time with a child. I've only used it a few times, so I believe it's in good condition with no scratches. However, there may be some oversights, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about details. I threw away the included mat for hygiene reasons. If you're concerned, I think a towel would work to prevent slipping.
