This appears to be from the early Showa era. My great-grandmother (born in 1897) used it for shamisen and chanting practice. It has two drawers, perfect for storing instruments and small items. The material is paulownia wood. It can be restored to its original beauty with some refinishing. The red stand is shown with the cover removed. Thank you!
