This is a popular vintage Bach mouthpiece with a well-made construction and excellent sound quality. The engraving reads: VINCENT BACH 7E. The inner rim diameter is slightly smaller than a 7C. The rim apex is slightly inward, and the outer edge is gentle. The rim shape is slightly rounded. The outer rim diameter feels slightly smaller than a Bach 10-1/2C. The inner rim edge is slightly more defined. The inner rim edge has a slight undercut, making it difficult for the lips to touch the cup wall, resulting in less fatigue. It has a UV-shaped cup, and is slightly shallow like a Bach E cup. The backbore is similar to a Warburton 10. The shank end is thin, about 0.4mm. It has a core and a rich, orthodox Bach-like sound. When played gently, it produces a warm sound, and when more air is put in, it produces a core-filled, brilliant sound. There are no major scratches or dents that would hinder performance. It is designed for a wide range of expression. It is recommended for solo playing, as well as for piccolo trumpet, marching band, big band, ska, and horn section players who play hard.
