This is a set of chopstick rests made with Kawatsura-nuri (lacquerware), a nationally designated traditional craft of Japan. Lacquer has antibacterial and sterilizing properties. I purchased this at a department store's product exhibition and have kept it stored at home. Because it is made only from natural materials, it is also popular with foreigners. It is very light and has a deep, rich color, giving it a luxurious feel. Price reduced.
