IDEAL zip Following the "M421", the initial model, the M716 was born in 1944, and then transitioned to "MIL-J-7758" from 1950. The biggest change in appearance is the total number of pockets. While the "M421" had two lower pockets (three pockets in Ver. 2), the "M716" has four pockets. ⁡ The pocket flaps are angular, a cigar pocket is added to the left sleeve, and deep action pleats are included.
