This carafe was manufactured to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ettore Sottsass, a master of Italian design. The overall form is based on the bottle of the Italian sparkling water company "Lurisia," designed by Sottsass. This carafe was produced by Guzzini and Sottsass as a "Special Edition" of the Lurisia bottle. A major difference from the mass-produced bottle is that the body is made of high-purity transparent glass. In addition, it is designed with practicality as a carafe in mind, such as combining an easy-to-open stainless steel lid and a wide drinking spout. The inside of the lid has a large protrusion with a silicone packing around it. Because it seals inside the bottle, it has the feature of being less likely to leak water droplets. Although it is a loose seal and cannot be stored horizontally, it can prevent the transfer of odors when placed in the refrigerator, making it suitable for everyday use.
