This is an old Tonbi coat, also known as an Inverness coat. Based on the intricate patterned buttons, the velvet fabric used inside the pockets, and the size, it is believed to be a custom-made coat from the early Showa era (around the 1920s-1930s). It has a rare large size for the time (approx. 131cm in length), making it wearable for modern men as well. Due to its age, there are some issues such as fraying and tears in the fur, small holes on the inside of the coat, and holes inside the inner pockets. These are on the inside, so they may not be very noticeable when worn. Please refer to photos 16 and later.
