Melitta, Germany Ceracron cup & saucer set. Red ones are common, but the green ones are quite rare and hard to find. This is a treasure. I collect ceramics as a hobby and would like to sell it to someone who appreciates them. Almost unused. It was displayed in a cupboard. Upon close inspection, there is a small chip on one of the bread plates and a black mark on the upper part of the plate after firing. Please refer to the last photo. You can see a deep green color with a black marble-like pattern, which I have photographed. I believe this is from the firing process, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. ■Manufacturer: Melitta, Germany ■Production Year: 1970s ■Size: Cup φ73xH55(mm) Sauser φ141(mm) [Description] The "Ceracron" series of tableware was handled by "Melitta / Melitta" of Germany, the world's No. 1 coffee dripper, around the 70s and 80s. "Ceracron" is a trademark of Melitta, and it is said that a unique glaze was applied to a fine porcelain material, but the detailed manufacturing technology has not been disclosed as a trade secret. After 1982, the company stopped producing tableware except for coffee drippers and some glassware and white porcelain. Unlike the popular red color, which had a high sales record, the green & black color was a rare color with very little distribution. *Quoted from HP
